About Our Work in Defence and Aerospace

Defence and aerospace programmes run for decades, long after the components they depend on have gone out of production. That creates two persistent problems: sourcing parts that are no longer manufactured, and being confident that what arrives from the open market is genuine.

We work on both sides of that. Our counterfeit component testing service screens open-market and broker-sourced parts before they reach production, and our alloy conversion and re-tinning and laser reballing services extend the usable life of legacy devices.

All work is carried out under ESD control at our Northampton facility, within an ISO 9001:2015 UKAS-accredited quality management system. We are working towards AS9100 Rev D, AS6171, JOSCAR registration and ITAR-compliant handling to further support customers operating in UK defence and aerospace supply chains.

Do you hold AS9100 certification?

We operate within an ISO 9001:2015 UKAS-accredited quality management system and are working towards AS9100 Rev D. We are also working towards AS6171, JOSCAR registration and ITAR-compliant handling.

Can you test components sourced from the open market?

Yes. Open-market and broker-sourced parts carry the highest counterfeit risk, and independent testing before acceptance is the standard safeguard. We provide documented findings for your incoming inspection records.

Can you help with obsolete components?

Yes. Alloy conversion, re-tinning and laser reballing can restore legacy devices to a usable condition where replacements are no longer manufactured.

What documentation do you provide?

Written reports covering test parameters, pass and fail criteria and findings, together with process records and traceability data suitable for audit and customer submission.

Where is the work carried out?

All work is carried out at our own facility in Northampton, England, under ESD-controlled conditions. Nothing is subcontracted overseas.

Bare Die Tape & Reel

We process CSP, WLCSP and flip chip devices from wafer, film frame and waffle pack into EIA-481-F compliant carrier tape.

Axial & Radial Taping

We tape and reel a wide range of axial and radial components including capacitors, resistors, diodes and springs.

Laser Marking

We use a concentrated beam of light to create permanent marks on the surfaces of target components.

Dry Packing

We offer a full dry packing service for all moisture-sensitive components.
