Systemation Euro provides a comprehensive pre-forming service for most active or passive discrete components.

Our extensive experience and resources offer a capability with few limitations, which can achieve cost savings in tooling and provide higher efficiencies than in-house processing.

The pre-forming service can be performed on components supplied either in loose form or on tape.

This service works well alongside our axial and radial taping and reeling and SMD taping and reeling services, with carrier tape available for components ready to move on to the next stage.

What is the lead forming process?

Lead forming is a pivotal step in electronic manufacturing, where the leads of electronic components are shaped to seamlessly fit onto printed circuit boards (PCBs). While these leads usually come straight out of the box, they need to be meticulously molded into a specific contour to align with the mounting apertures on a PCB.
