About Our Work in Medical Electronics

Medical device production combines long product lifecycles with regulated documentation requirements. A design certified years ago may still be in production long after some of its components have become difficult to source, and every part that enters the build has to be accounted for.

That makes two of our services particularly relevant. Counterfeit component testing provides documented verification for parts sourced outside the authorised distributor network, and dry packing ensures moisture-sensitive devices are handled to JEDEC requirements so they do not fail during reflow.

All work is carried out under ESD control at our Northampton facility within an ISO 9001:2015 UKAS-accredited quality management system, with batch-level records maintained throughout and supplied as part of your quality file.

What documentation do you provide?

Written reports covering test parameters, pass and fail criteria and findings, together with batch-level process records and traceability data suitable for your quality file.

Do you handle moisture-sensitive devices?

Yes. Our dry packing service bakes, vacuum seals and labels moisture-sensitive devices to JEDEC requirements, including desiccant, humidity indicator cards and MSL labelling.

Can you verify components sourced outside authorised channels?

Yes. Independent counterfeit testing provides documented verification for parts sourced from brokers or the open market, which is standard practice for regulated production.

Can you support long-lifecycle designs?

Yes. Alloy conversion, re-tinning and reballing can keep legacy devices usable where replacements are scarce or no longer manufactured.

Where is the work carried out?

All work is carried out at our own facility in Northampton, England, under ESD-controlled conditions. Nothing is subcontracted overseas.
