About Our Work in Rail Electronics

Rail assets are among the longest-lived in any sector. Signalling equipment, traction control and on-board systems routinely remain in service for thirty years or more, well beyond the production life of the semiconductors they contain.

That makes obsolescence the defining challenge. Our alloy conversion and re-tinning and laser reballing services restore devices that have aged in storage or been recovered from withdrawn assemblies, returning them to a solderable, serviceable condition.

Can you help with obsolete rail electronics components?

Yes. Alloy conversion, re-tinning and laser reballing can restore legacy devices to a serviceable condition where replacements are no longer manufactured.

Can you verify parts sourced from brokers?

Yes. Obsolete devices sourced outside the authorised distributor network carry the highest counterfeit risk. We provide independent testing with documented findings.

Can you re-finish devices recovered from withdrawn assemblies?

Yes. Recovered devices can be cleaned, re-tinned or reballed and re-packaged, subject to assessment of their condition.

What documentation do you provide?

Written reports covering test parameters, findings and process records, suitable for maintenance documentation and safety case evidence.

Do you handle small quantities?
