We work to ISO 9001:2015, EIA-481-D, J-STD-033A, JESD625-A, IEC61340-5-1, EIA-556-B and TS-16949 standards covering quality management, carrier taping, moisture-sensitive device handling, ESD protection and label compliance.

Q: What is dry packing?

Dry packing is a method for packing integrated circuits in a moisture-free environment. The device is baked and immediately sealed in a vacuum-sealed bag. This process is used for package types that are especially susceptible to moisture intrusion.

Baking Services and Dry Packing of Components

Systemation Euro is a dry packing electronics UK specialist, offering a full dry packing service for moisture-sensitive components.

Parts are vacuum sealed in Moisture Barrier bags (MBB) and these are bar coded to maintain traceability.

Humidity Indicator Cards and desiccant bags are sealed inside the MBB with the parts to show the condition of the parts when you come to use them.

Components that have been exposed to air beyond the JEDEC guidelines can be made fit for use by using the Systemation Euro ‘Rebake and Vacuum seal’ service.

All baking is carried out to either the manufacturers or the customers specifications in our calibrated ovens ensuring the parts can be reused by our customer.

Dry packing is often combined with our SMD taping and reeling and carrier tape services, and is also available for devices going through IC programming or our bare die tape and reel process.
