What is the process of tape and reel?

Tape and Reel is the process of packaging electronic components into individual pockets of carrier tape. The units are sealed with heat or pressure cover tape. The carrier tape is wound around an industry-standard reel for loading onto component-placement equipment.

What is a standard width of a tape and reel?

Tape widths are available from 4 mm to 200 mm. Spacing between components is available from 2 mm and up. Standard reel diameters include 7” for small components. You may select 13” for larger items.
